Chakras and Crystal Jewelry

According to the Ayurveda other Eastern traditions there are 7 main Chakra energy centers of the physical body, where life energy flows and we transmit and receive physical, emotional, and spiritual energy. Often, earthstones or crystals of varying colors are used at these Chakra centers to purge, tonify and regulate.  

 

1st base or Root Chakra In the base of our spine we have our 1st base or Root Chakra: it is our connection to the ground, to reality, it is our instinct for survival. Emotionally it makes us feel secure in our life. Physically it is connected to our blood circulation, body temperature, and overall energy. Crystals for the root chakra are usually red or black, some of my favourites are: Onyx, Black Tourmaline & Garnet.

2nd Sacral Chakra

 

Beneath our navel we have our 2nd Sacral Chakra: it connects to our sexuality, to our creativity and to our ability to bring ideas into reality. Emotionally this chakra is responsible for bravery. Physically it is responsible of our sexual organs, menstrual cycle, and eating habits. Crystals for the sacral chakra are usually orange or red, some of my favourites are: Agate & Red Tigers Eye.

3^rd Solar Plexus Chakra

Under our rib cage we have our 3^rd Solar Plexus Chakra: connected to happiness, optimism & will power. Emotionally the solar plexus can create much healthier relationships and help with irrational fears. Physically it helps with digestion and with diabetes. Crystals for the solar plexus chakra are usually yellow or with a gold hue, some of my favourites are: Citrine & Tiger Eye.

4th Heart chakra

Above our heart we find our 4th Heart chakra: Each chakra also has different crystals that are connected to it and affect it. Crystals for the heart chakra are usually pink or light green. This chakra is responsible for feelings of love and compassion towards us and towards the world; it is also the connection between the three lower chakras to the three higher chakras. Emotionally the heart chakra is responsible for openness, giving and receiving & a feeling of overall harmony. Some of my favourite crystals are: Aventurine & Rose Quartz.

5^th Throat Chakra

 

 At our throat we have our 5^th Throat Chakra: This chakra is responsible of communication, internally and externally. Emotionally it is responsible of expression. Physically is it responsible for our throat heath and vocal cords. Crystals for the throat chakra are usually light or dark blue, some of my favourites are: Lapis Lazuli & Sodalite.

6^th Third Eye Chakra

Between our brows we have our 6^th Third Eye Chakra. Our third eye is responsible for our “sixth sense”, intuition, understanding, dreaming, spiritual awakening and feeling calm and peaceful. Physically it connects to our sleeping patterns, migraines and hearing. Crystals for the third eye chakra are usually purple. Some of my favourite crystals are: Amethyst & Fluorite.

7th Crown Chakra 

We can find our 7th Crown Chakra on the top of our head. This chakra is connected to divine wisdom, to our willingness to experience infinite love and the higher vibrations. Emotionally it connects to our concentration, to our ability to meditate and to our openness to spirituality in all forms. Crystals for the crown chakra are usually white or clear. Some of my favourite crystals are: Quartz & Azeztulite.
